TEXAS NOTARY PUBLIC FEES
Tex. Gov't. Code Ann. § 406.024 sets out the maximum fees a Notary Public, or their employer, may charge for notary public services. A Notary Public who charges more than the maximum set out below subjects the notary to possible criminal prosecution and suspension or revocation of the notary’s notary public commission by the Secretary of State's office.

A cancellation fee equal to the full travel fee will be applied if a notarization or verification cannot be completed because the signing party: 1) is not present; 2) cannot produce acceptable identification and/or witnesses; 3) cannot produce complete documentation; 4) is unable or unwilling to communicate their intentions or otherwise complete the transaction.
